Doctors: Are You Paying Your Employees Too Much?

Good employees are hard to come by. They can make or break your business. Loyalty is everything and performance is key and should be tracked and reviewed in every practice. Attracting and retaining quality staff members are a challenge for many Doctors. Here are some of the simple rules to follow for your compensation model:
Nurses and other providers should produce a 4 to 1 ratio in sales.  So if they cost you $100,000 they need to sell $400,000 in services. Period. No exceptions.
For lesser providers you can look at part time, hourly plus commission with benchmark goals for benefits.  Keep in mind: you don’t need all full-time employees with full benefits!
